Ingredients in commercial cleansers include synthetic chemicals that can contaminate water and soil upon disposal, and are classified as toxic substances.

This is true for most of your trusted brands, Olay, Clearasil, and Neutrogena. Just because it says dermatologist recommended doesn’t mean its safe. Infact Johnsons baby wash and lotion is the number one dermatologists recommended brand…it’s second ingredient on the label is propylene glycol otherwise known as ANTIFREEZE. Perfect lets bathe our newborns in antifreeze…because that just makes sense????? (please stay tuned for my post on baby care coming soon)

There’s some great options here for different styles of homemade face washes perfect for every skin type. Just remember if your making mixes in advance you may want to refrigerate them and not just leave them in the bathroom as they may loose effectiveness and go bad!

Try a few and see how they work for you! If you have any questions on skin type or need a recommendation please don’t hesitate to contact me… we can set up a natural skin care program perfect for you!
